Little is known about Lil Finder Guy, which is not its official name (I think), that first appeared the same day Apple debuted the MacBook Neo. It has appeared in the corner of one TikTok post by Apple (oh yeah, Apple started posting on TikTok and it’s unhinged) and in screenshot apparently captured during a “Matcha Break with MacBook Neo” livestream on TikTok on Wednesday afternoon, but I haven’t been able to track down any other shots of the stream itself.
However, employing ChatGPT Voice in CarPlay comes with certain constraints. Notably, the AI assistant lacks the ability to manage vehicle operations. Tasks such as changing the temperature or advancing music tracks still require Siri's assistance. Additionally, Apple's policies prevent activation via a wake phrase, unlike Siri. To continue an earlier discussion, users must manually access the ChatGPT app through CarPlay and select a recent or saved conversation.
